Sandy Springs Friends School - Upper School

      OLNEY, MD

This project consists of the construction of a new three-story, 43,000 SF upper school academic building for Sandy Spring Friends School.  The building includes classrooms, science labs, common and collaborative spaces, administrative spaces, offices and support spaces. The new academic building was built on an occupied and fully operational campus site.   

The new Upper School building is the first WELL Certified High School in the nation!  WELL is a performance-based system supporting and advancing human health and well-being through the built environment.  Certification is based on the following concepts: air, water, nourishment, light, movement, thermal comfort, sound, materials, mind, community and innovation.
