  Brown Station Elementary School

      GAITHERSBURG, MD

This project consisted of the demolition of the existing, 60,000 SF elementary school and the construction of a new, three-story, 114,000 SF elementary school. The school includes two softball fields, an overlaid soccer field, four new hard and mulch play areas, separated student drop-off and bus loops, parking, and associated site work. Four master-planned classrooms will also be provided as an unfinished building shell to be fit-out and finished in the future. In addition, the project also includes a self-contained County daycare facility on site. This project is LEED Gold Certified.

Keller Construction Management provided Construction Management At Risk Services to Montgomery County Public Schools on this project. Pre-construction services provided include: cost estimating, value management, constructability reviews, development of scopes of work for the project, and the development of the construction implementation schedule. Additionally, Keller managed the Building Information Modeling process, in an effort to coordinate design documents and preemptively coordinate trade disciplines with one another.
