Richard Byrd Library

Owner-Fairfax County Board of Supervisors


Location-Fairfax, VA


The Richard Byrd Library project for the Fairfax County Department of Public Works included the demolition, remodel, and addition to the existing library building for a new footprint of 18,000 square feet. It was redesigned and reconstructed to meet the needs of the community. Unique daylighting strategies were used to allow natural light to enter the building. The facility achieved Gold LEED certification. The project also included major site renovation, storm water management upgrades, utility upgrades, and a new parking lot. The Library was awarded Fairfax County Department of Public Works & Environmental Service’s Capitol Facilities Award of Excellence.

Less Secure Shelter II

Owner-Fairfax County Department of Public Works

Location-Fairfax, VA

The Less Secure Shelter II project for the Fairfax County Department of Public Works included a new 12,000 square foot facility. The facility contained a twelve bed facility with support areas, administration, counseling, and rehabilitation services in conjunction with the adjacent Juvenile Detention Center. This facility has acheived Silver LEED certification.

Laurel Police Station

Owner-City of Laurel, Maryland


Location-Laurel, MD

The Laurel Police Station project for the City of Laurel, Maryland included the complete gut and renovation of the existing station.  The scope of work included the replacement of all window and roof systems; new mechanical and electrical systems; in addition to creating spaces to support meeting areas, processing, administration, and cell blocks.

The Heights School

Location-Potomac, MD


This project consisted of an addition to the East side of the existing main school and a partial renovation to the existing Middle School and Main School. After we began this construction project the school decided to construction a new Chapel for the school also so this work was added to the project.

Mount Airy Town Hall

Owner-Town of Mount Airy


Location-Mount Airy, MD


This project consisted of renovations to the historical building with an addition at the back of the building. We were able to keep most of the historical beams and columns in the building. The renovations included installation of a sprinkler system to help with safety within the building. The addition onto the building is being used as the conference room for televised town meetings. The downstairs renovations were done for it to be used as a community room for the town residents.

Seven Locks Technical Center

Owner-Montgomery County Department of Public Works and Transportation


Location-Potomac, MD


This three phase project consists of a two story steel frame building with masonry and glass exterior encompassing a high bay heavy equipment maintenance shop, and testing laboratory. A highway services administration office area with a fully equipped commercial kitchen assembly area and sleeping quarter with a laundry room and elevator. Phase 2 included demolition of the existing truck sheds and concrete storage bins. Phase 3 was the rebuild of the demolished truck sheds and concrete storage bins.

Sandy Spring Friends School

Location-Sandy Spring, MD


This project consisted of new construction of three buildings on the campus of the school an Athletic Center, Performing Arts Center, and a Middle School. After contract began the renovations of their Lower School and Dining Hall were added to the contract work.  The construction included: Atlehletic Center 22,000sf, Middle School 25,000sf, and Performing Arts Center 30,800sf.
